Greetings, viBrant family!
This summer has been very busy so far, and our Summer 2015 viBeStages and viBeSongMakers programs are well under way, but we took time on June 29 to honor our alumni, celebrate our graduates, and reflect on our year.
We are very proud of Cheyenne Deago, MJ McPaul-Holmes, Briana Andre, and Ayodele Temple, our 2015 graduates.
Ayodele Temple, a 2015 graduate of SUNY Old Westbury, will co-direct the viBeStages production this summer. Additionally, two viBe alumnae, Alize George and Jessica Elixus, will serve as interns for the viBeSongMakers program. Alize is a rising sophomore at SUNY New Paltz, and Jessica is a rising sophomore at Brooklyn College. Lastly, viBe alum Monique Letamendi will direct the Summer 2015 viBe SongMakers project. To that end, viBe is committed to training and hiring the young women that have gone through our programs and have firsthand knowledge of viBe’s pedagogy and its lifelong impact.
Please visit our photos page to see pictures of our Year-End Celebration!
Up next is our Summer 2015 viBeStages/viBeSongMakers production, a culminating performance of the work of both groups, which will be performed at HERE Arts Center on August 10 and 11. We hope to see you there.
In the meantime, please consider becoming a member or making a donation before the end of our fiscal year, August 31. Donations from supporters like you help keep viBe’s programs high in quality and free of charge. Thank you for all that you have done this year to help us serve and empower teenage girls through the arts.
With permission, all Members, VIP Members, and underwriters will be recognized in viBe’s annual report.
