Monique Letamendi viBeSongMakers & viBeStages Director
Monique “Orisha Love” Letamendi has been in love with theater, poetry and music for as long as she can remember. She began teaching poetry and literacy in 2010. Monique has lent her talents to various social movements, including #fightfor15, Black Women's Blueprint, and unconstitutional stop-and-frisk policies with Make The Road New York. Monique has facilitated workshops with National Black Writers Conference at Medgar Evers College, and performed at Pratt University and Barnard College. Monique has been part of the viBe family since the age of 14, and is humbled to be able to watch young girls grow and progress with the same tools and love that motivated her to be the artist she has become today.
