Beryl Briane Ford

Co-Executive Director and Development Director

Passionate about liberation, Black studies, and Black cultural production, Beryl Briane Ford (she/her) has a vested interest in supporting cultural and community-based organizations who work with communities of color to maximize their funding and mission impact. Her work is situated at the intersections of the visual and performing arts, urbanism and placemaking, as well as gender and healing justice and racial equity. Beryl Briane specializes in resource & capacity building, cultural mapping, and fundraising for small, mid-, and large cultural institutions.

Beryl Briane is proud to have worked and contributed to the growth and development of The Museum of Modern Art, The Studio Museum in Harlem, Aperture Foundation, and the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery. She is currently the Co-Executive Director of viBe Theater Experience, a Brooklyn-based performing arts nonprofit serving Black girls, young women, and gender expansive youth. She formerly served on the inaugural Board of Directors of BlackSpace Urbanist Collective, a nonprofit organization that brings together planners, architects, artists, and designers as Black urbanists, passionate about the work of public systems and urban infrastructures.

Beryl Briane holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from Smith College and a Master’s degree in Arts Administration from Columbia University’s Teachers College.
